For a while I’ve been interested on Korean Beauty.  On some point in your life you may be listened that Koreans are serious about their skin care, they always have this glowing, smooth skin that we all want.  Looking for more information on the subject I found this book, The Little Book of Skin Care, Korean Beauty Secrets for Health, Glowing Skin by Charlotte Cho of Soko Glam.  Soko Glam is a online store where you can find all Korean skin care products.

Desde hace un tiempo me ha interesado los productos koreanos. En algún momento de tu vida, es posible que escuches que las koreanas toman en serio el cuidado de su piel, siempre tienen esta piel brillante y suave que todos queremos. Buscando más información sobre el tema encontré este libro The Little Book of Skin Care, Korean Beauty Secrets for Healthy, Glowing Skin de Charlotte Cho de Soko Glam.  Soko Glam es una tienda en línea donde puedes encontrar todos los productos koreanos para el cuidado de la piel.

When I start reading the book  I was thinking that was only to tell what are the best products and routines for skin care.  But this book teach you that skin care is not only for beauty and vanity, is something that we have to enjoy and do for the well-being.   Before reading the book the only Korean product that I have used so far are the masks and I love them.   After having finished reading the book I want to try other Korean products.

Al comenzar a leer el libro pensaba que era solo para decir cuáles eran los mejores productos y rutinas para el cuidado de la piel.  Pero este libro te enseña que el cuidado de la piel no es solo para la belleza y la vanidad, es algo que tenemos que disfrutar y hacer para el bienestar.  Antes de leer el libro, el único producto coreano que he utilizado hasta ahora son las mascarillas y los amo!  Después de haber terminado de leer el libro, quiero probar otros productos koreanos.

On the book the author tell us that brand loyalty is overrated, rarely the Koreans stick with one brand and you can see that they also use brands from US and Europe.  And this is why in Korea constantly the beauty industry develop new products, because for them innovation is everything.

En el libro, la autora nos dice que la lealtad a la marca está sobrevalorada, raramente los coreanos se quedan con una marca y se puede ver que también utilizan marcas de Americanas y Europeas.  Y esta es la razón por la cual en Korea constantemente la industria de la belleza desarrolla nuevos productos, porque para ellos la innovación es todo.

Also something that catch my attention was the “Double Cleanse”, Koreans take very seriously on how cleanse your skin since this is the first step toward the final goal.   They use 2 different cleansers one oil-base and one water-base.

Algo que también que llamó mi atención fue la “Limpieza Doble”, los koreanos se toman muy en serio la forma de limpiar su piel, ya que este es el primer paso hacia el objetivo final. Usan 2 limpiadores diferentes, uno con base de aceite y uno con base de agua.

On the book you will find skin care tips not only for your face also for your body.  The Koreans woman and mens take care of their entire body in a serious way.   The author explain everything from the mysterious ten step Korean skin care routine to the ABC of skin care shopping and much more.    I totally recommend this book, the good thing is that you can apply so many of this tips without using Korean products.

En el libro encontrará consejos para el cuidado de la piel no solo para su rostro sino también para su cuerpo. Las mujeres y los hombres koreanos se ocupan de todo su cuerpo de una manera seria. El autor explica todo, desde la misteriosa rutina koreana de cuidado de la piel de diez pasos hasta el ABC de las compras para el cuidado de la piel y mucho más. Recomiendo totalmente este libro, lo bueno es que puede aplicar muchos de estos consejos sin utilizar productos koreanos.
